St Gianna, pray for my son and his 5 children. They lost a courageous wife/mother like you to a breast cancer. During her 4th pregnancy, she was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer but never considered abortion. She died when the youngest was only 2 years old. My son never remarried, and now the 4th is having her first Holy Communion.

It is important to realise that the Catholic Church does not consider cases like this where the mother would be saved to be an abortion. Rather a delivery inconsistent with life. And not a sin. However it is was a holy love and sacrifice that St Gianna undertook for her child.
