I was stationed in West Berlin with the US Army's Berlin Brigade, 1988-1992 (Bco 5/502 INF). I was in the city the night the Wall came down. I wish I could pass to all youth the sights I saw before and during November 9, 1989. They would never again raise a socialist or communist flag.

The NVA were certainly very impressive on parade 👍 I remember going to W Germany in 1986 and getting as close as I could, to the border with E Germany. This was near Luebeck.
