Coming up first on our list is SkyFactory 4! SkyFactory 4 is a SkyBlock #Modpack taken to a completely new level. It has you building a factory in the sky while progress through different achievements and levels all from just a simple tree and dirt block. It has tons of tech and automation mods, and overall, it's one of the best, most unique modpacks on this list!

After SkyFactory 4, we have a tried and true modpack - FTB Infinity Evolved. This is a kitchen sink modpack that features everything from factory and automation to farming for modded items to custom tool building to even an entire suite of magic mods. If you are new to modpacks, this can be a great place to start!

Next up is a mod that is similar to SkyFactory except instead of starting in the Sky, you are start underground surrounded by stone. The modpack we are talking about of course is StoneBlock 2! This pack start you off by having you hit stone for pebbles until you can craft cobblestone, get an RFTools builder, and start mining massive amounts of stone without any issues. It also lets you start automating ore production and really take things to a new levels as you progress through the pack.

Fourth on our list is Farming Valley. This pack is very inspired by Harvest Moon and Stardew Valley. It has a seasons structure, a ton of different crops and farming to do, and even a harvest goddess that you have to summon. You even have to build up a town in order to sell your crops for money and progress. This is an incredible farming Minecraft pack and is the best farming modpack out there.

Last but not least on our list is SevTech Ages. This is a progression based pack that forces you to follow the set progressions in order to be able to complete the pack. There are different ‘ages’ that you will progress through allowing you to unlock new things and make your systems, farms, etc more efficient. This mike new recipes, movs, and even ores appear as you move through the ages making this a super fun linear modpack!

My only criticism with SevTech Ages is that it starts out SUPER slow. You can easily sink 4 hours just getting yourself going in the absolute earliest stages of the game.

i spend so much time on sky factory 4 but the words got corrupted so started a new world got really far and again corrupted so i gave up on the modpack

Holds you hands ...sorta. The requirements to progress thanks to different recipes and a progression system being completely enforced no going into the mines and mining stuff to make op tinkers tools you butts using stone tools for the first few hours. Trust me if you want a more enjoyable casual experience and i dont mean that in a bad way sevtech ages will drive you nuts. But if you like an interesting progression system that actually feels like going from cave man to midevil civvy all the way to space time wizard god its fun. But i will say some of the progression feels like walls thanks to it forcing you to do things like abyssal craft early on which for the love of god gave me hell just to get past and the totemic mod is a huge wall for newer players sense you have to do it. Add in some of the logic in progression makes no sense like example, You cant make a bow but you can make windmills forges and automated grinders that use livestock to generate kinetic energy through movement. Iv mastered the art of making porcelain and motion machines based off wind and gear motion but i cant make a bow. Technically you can get a bow by beating totemic’s unique boss but still. I love the pack but its one that will test your patience a lot. The grind make leather and bread as well as get your buffaloes for teeth to make your first gear is a doozy.
