you need at least .4 to secure and shoot a shot don't know why they were acting confused. it needed to be tipped not caught. mizz played a hell of a game shorthanded and they definitely deserved this win. idk how sc has the most dominant bigs and forwards in the entire ncaa but let mizz get whatever layup they wanted in the 4th&OT

.1 is literally so fast that even a tip has to be literally finger tips and so fast that the ball is off the hands before 0.0. Damn near impossible. Aaliyah Boston tried, but she was no where near pulling off the feat. It wasn't even worth reviewing. She caught the ball with two hands and executed a great play (alley oop). It wasn't great enough for a 0.1 tip at the buzzer. Ask a track and field athlete how fast 0.1 sec is... or a swimmer...Maybe an argument could've been made that there should've been more time after Hanney's lay-up. Catch and shoot won't work with 0.1 and Boston caught it and shot it. It was a pretty play that would've worked at the end of regulation where there was plenty of time... and throughout the game where there was plenty of time. 0.1 is not even enough time to do a slam dunk alley oop because the ball has to be gathered... if they would've thrown it around the rim and Boston tipped it up and in, then it could've been reviewed (still may not have counted). This is an issue in all basketball. At what point is there not enough time? 0.4 and 0.3 is bordering on the lowest you can go. Then it's slow mo review. But I'd imagine Dawn Staley will start running that play regularly for Boston. Only a few women can even think about defending those types of plays around the rim.

I have been studying the Trent Tucker Rule. The Refs got this right. Must be .4 on clock to count unless it was tipped or fouled. Great try by South Carolina though. Go MIZZOU. I graduated '86.

It needed to be a tap not a catch n release

I am not a big fan of South Carolina, but a Big Fan of Basketball... .01 second to catch and score, the shoot on in bounds play the Refs need their heads exam. The Officials who write the rules need to change the rules to at least reflect a second if you going to stop clock under a second on it that is not a valid time. I think under a second is not time to do any thing; and one second up is ok with the decimal it is time enough to do a task!!! For Shame history has to repeat it self numeral times before people in high place have to learn the difference between wrong and right!!

The issue here is not whether 0.1 seconds is enough time. The clock operator has to react in realtime to the action on the court. Judging by what you actually see, it's awfully close. To me, it appeared the light came on slightly before the shot was released but to say it's impossible depends less on the amount of time as it does when the clock actually starts.

Even if it was 0.3 remaining like so many say it should have been everyone knows you can't catch and shoot with 0.3 on the clock, it has to be a tip. Boston made a great play but there was no need to review. SC looked confused that it wasn't reviewed but if you look at Dawn she knew it wasn't possible. Credit to Mizzou for the hard fought win.

If you backtrack the video to the point where the clock is zero and the red light is on you will see that THE BALL IS STILL IN HER HAND. You just can't catch and release in one tenth of a second. But lets be real. SC lost cause two guards from Missouri were driving the lane for layups and scoring inside like running water

Boston is by far the best forward in college and one of the top in WBB in general but she's not that kind of generation Player or the player who u gonna pass the ball to shoot the last bucket..I love her so much but ..

Why have SC or any team set up a play if anything under .3 is not enough time to score a basket? Why give false hope to a team especially when the play worked?

Should've been 1.3 on the clock but congrats Mizzou

Was not a great try…basically an unchallenged pass to a teammate under the basket. Officials should not even allow a play with 1 tenth. Just a way for SC to take the bloom off the MU win.

Much confusion here. The ball cannot even be tipped with 0.1 left.

The buzzard red light showed before she caught the Ball. SC always controversial and the game should never been close. Blame SC Coaches for the mishaps.

Classic Dawn Staley coached player reaction…

Yo these NCAA want Teams to lose so bad this year....
No NBA nor NFL, next is _No College_ 🤷🏾‍♂️

And if people are CONtrolling the shot board. She DID make the shot in .1. The backboard nor the clock DIDN'T move nor light up till the basketball went in the Basket. So that stands as: South Carolina WON.
NCAA gotta go back & review to see that was an error BUT NOT South Carolina. So South Carolina WON this game❗

All of this is Karma. Nneka Ogumike should've been fouled out during the 2016 WNBA championships. Bad call by the ref let her stay in and she made the game-winnjng shot, thereby destroying the Lynx's right to be the team with the most championship ttitles.

Then Nneka gets denied a spot on the 2020 Olympics when she really was a shoe-in. Dawn Staley was head of that team. She had the ability to let Nneka be on the USA team but didn't. Nneka had won a WNBA championship she didn't deserve but the tables were turned and balanced by her getting a faceplate for the Olympics. Again. That was largely Dawn's doing.

Now this happens. SC should've won but Karma has to do what she does. Dawn fugged Ogumike, and now she got screwed last night.

Don't ever think that ya getting away with anything in Life. It might take months or years but Karma always knows ya address.
