Damn. That Hank Aaron Oris 😍 I went to two Hank Aaron games when I was a very young child. I actually saved the ticket stubs. Still have them. When I got my first real job, I hunted down a Hank Aaron autographed baseball. Still have that too. Getting this watch is a no-brainer for me.

Oris' Big Crown Pointer Dates are some of the most underrated attainable watches out there. I run across so few people who truly appreciate them. They're stunning, but maybe that's just my affinity for vintage watches.

The Hamilton W10 wasn’t specifically a pilot’s watch although they were issued to them (navigators got a chrono). These watches were issued to all branches of the British armed forces and you were just as likely to see non aircrew and infantrymen wearing them ( and I did). BTW RAF issued watches were not marked ‘W10’ but were marked as 6bb.

I own one of those Hamilton W10’s, I know people live to moan about the mineral crystal, but those are mostly people who have never seen the watch I’m guessing. This is one of the few Hamilton watches with rather good AR treatment. It has it in both sides of a crystal that is inherently less reflective than sapphire. It’s a big part of its look.

The biggest impediment to them selling more is the price, it’s far more money than their mechanical field watch.

Vintage inspired Chronographs, there’s a ton of them on the market. That Zenith certainly deserves to be there. It’s got just the right touches of modernity, you can actually time in 1/10 second intervals.

That said, the A384 and A385 Chronomaster Revival is retains even more vintage DNA. They aren’t nearly as legible, but they wear beautiful. The tonneau case, ladder bracelet is the real deal.

This was the first video I surprisingly was against you on. The title excited me as this genre is definitely a clearly super hot style in the market. There are brands that are doing this so well and you picked ones that aren’t doing it as well but have bigger names. This feels like you had a huge opportunity to shout out smaller brands that are genuinely doing this one thing better than anyone. Oris gets 2 call outs in vintage style over brands like Baltic. Or even Christopher Wards vintage inspired pieces? This list is great, especially the Bulova. That genuinely made me excited. Grand Seiko??? Show somebody that watch and ask them if it’s vintage… VC 222 is the ultimate. Does that really belong on this list outside of being an honorable finale? I just think you could have done so much more with this video. Why wouldn’t you take the opportunity to hit every single level of enthusiast. You started off perfect and then went way way off brand. So much so that I am thinking there is monetary bias.

For me, what screams vintage inspired dive watch is Baltic Aquascaphe, especially in the blue navy dial

Mido TV big date (on the bracelet), for a 70s feel, and a Hamilton Jazzmaster Viewmatic for... I don't really know why.

The 222 was my holy grail for years. Super expensive of course but probably doable on 5-10 year at least that was my plan.

But after the re-issue and Brad Pitt wearing it, is has doubled in price and most probably without my reach. So even if I adore the new one (and it is perfect) it ultimately made it even harder for me to attain it. Oh well that's life I guess.

Thank you for this trip truth beautiful watches . i don't know why but the longines design is so attractive for me. My eyes are attracted before i see that it is a longines . There is also so many nice design from other brands : Bulova, Cartier, Tudor
