Woodside CEO Meg O'Neill today pulled off a big corporate play by selling 10 per cent of the Scarborough LNG project in Western Australia for around $US880 million.

The buyers, Japanese trading houses Sumitomo and Sojitz, are also customers of the giant new field, which will fuel the expansion of the Pluto gas plant near Karratha.
