Emission tests are ridiculous and irrelevant which is why they stopped doing them where I live. I'm a retired Class A mechanic. There is NO way to accurately measure what cars produce-- a part may malfunction intermittently, readings fluctuate on a minute-by-minute basis- you might fail the test if you took it later the very same day. And the worst offenders-- vintage cars, buses, trucks, heavy equipment and planes, etc., are exempt. You can own a brand new 'zero-emission' vehicle and it still may fail the test-- and the emissions you produce driving around, buying extra gas, paying to have a mechanic drive it around and test it-- well you do the math. Not to mention the parts we throw into landfills that were still working and causing negligible damage to the environment-- geez. I ask you. One more example of environmentalist alarmists who can't see the forest for the trees.

Thanks! I bought the product today. The box directions read " add to 1/2 full gas tank" Maybe tweaked since 3 years ago. Anyway, , I appreciate your detailed instructions and demonstration!

I was skeptical but this legit worked for me. I just passed my emissions after trying to pass since last September. This product stopped my engine light from coming in. The repair shop wanted to charge me $2000, saying I needed two new catalytic converters and $1000 to fix some air leaks, but GTP got all my monitors ready with no check engine light or DTCs. Don't get discouraged if your lights come on before you finish the tank of GTP. You have to drive until you use the whole tank. Just reset and keep driving. I used one and a half bottles of GTP.

Years ago (like close to 20 years ago!) when my state used to do thr sniffer test, I had an early 90s Nissan 300ZX I just bought and didn't know the previous owner put test pipes instead of the cats (dual exhaust). It failed the tailpipe test.

So on a friend's recommendation I tried this just on a whim and it passed with no cats! The mechanic was cool and didn't fail me again knowing there were no cats asked what did I do. I told him I used this and he passed me.

It definately lowered Hydrocarbon but raised the NOX on my 95 nissan pick up. Still not enough to pass, turning my truck in to the mechanic so he can figure it out. I also seafoamed through the brake booster vacuum hose so not sure which worked. GTP might work.
Update, 10-21-2022 did seafoam thru brake booster again and new iridium spark plugs and wires. Barely passed.

In the early to mid '90s, I owned a '76 Granada (302) with 160k miles on it.
I'd always use this a few days before smog testing. It produced amazing numbers.

Putting this stuff in your car (whether it helps or not) is not going to automatically "shut off the check engine light" on your car. You still have to do that - for most cars at least - manually.

I just brought 2 bottles for my truck. Filled my tank up then put the bottles inside the truck. Did nothing but Uber all day. Letting it run all the way til the light comes on. Refill and go take my inspection. I’ll keep you updated on results

This worked on my vehicle. P0420 was diagnosed a year ago. Kept on driving and multiple erases were conducted but light kept coming back on. I tried Cataclean that did nothing except slightly better gas mileage. I failed imy NY state nspection and light was still on. Finally I tried this while shopping at Autozone because of the bold "double your money back guaranteed to pass" label. Well guess what, I put it in with less than half a tank of gasthen drove it till nearly empty than filled tank next day and shortly after Check engine light turned itself off. Went to inspection and passed. Note, I filled my car with premium gas from Stewarts Gas Station which is Non-ethanol gas when choosing premium. Total miles driven before light turned itself off was 183 miles, and yes I had reset trip odometer to zero before pouring in bottle into gas tank.

Worked for me!
2007 Honda Accord EX 2.4L four piston. Before I used it I got some kind of error code P 420 prevented passing emissions.

I think you do want to include some highway miles on the car when driving the gas tank down to "empty" (1/8 of a tank.)

I ADD THE BIG BOTTLE OF NAIL POLISH REMOVER INTO THE TANK. CLEAR THE CODES AND DRIVE 80 TO 100MILES AND TAKE IT IN FOR THE INSPECTION IN IT PASSES. AFTER I PASS THE INSPECTION I NOTICED AFTER I PUT ANOTHER 50-75 MILES ON IT. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES BACK ON. BUT IT WAS ENOUGH TO PASS THE YEARLY INSPECTION AND I'VE BEEN DOING IT FOR THE PAST COUPLE OF YEARS.
