Emma Hayes certainly is a remarkable coach that can bring the USWNT back on track but winning 4-0 against South Korea is more or less a MUST no matter who is standing on the side line for the USA.
I'm pretty sure that Hayes will implement new play styles to make the US more competetive but at the current state and the upcoming Olympics I don't see them doing much when they'll face Germany, France, Japan and especially Spain.

Look at how Sharp, Electric, Bloodthirsty and Efficient this team is already. They look better than they ever have looked and that too in today's ultra competitive climate with all of thrse European developing superteams

Korea's defense & overall game had dropped over past couple of years. Goalie was inconsistent in reading the balls flying in the box.
Difficult to deduce anything from this match apart from the USWNT easing into their gears under a new coach. 2 set piece goals won't tell us much. However, Pugh/ Swanson (she will always remain Pugh to me) working through centre of defenses (albeit a porous one) with Smith & Lavelle is a good step forward.
Rose, Sophia, Mallory & Catarina along with Horan are the only technical players available to Hayes. Will be interesting to see how she gets the USA going from the back against high pressing teams - patient build up plays or hopeful long balls. At Chelsea she had done both. Problem is that against a possession oriented team like Spain with 8 Barca players, you won't get the ball back once you lose it. Calm possession football in tight spaces to build attacks won't work with this defense. Intriguing times ahead for Emma and for neutrals like me.
