This is the wonderful ending of the Offertory from Messiaen’s Pentecost Mass. Music out of time, the ecstatic dimension of Messiaen in all its beauty! 😌

I find that the high-pitched sounds of the manual in unison with the 8’ of the pedal, create an astonished effect. We can also recognize the bird songs in some melodies.

after the great disturbing hustle and bustle of the previous bars, this musical moment is like a ray of sunshine appearing in the black clouds. 🌦🥰
