Deuteronomy is the fifth book of the Bible and the final book of the Torah—the foundation of the rest of the Old Testament. A new generation of Israelites has completed their wanderings in the wilderness and camped just outside of the promised land. Before he dies, Moses gives the people a choice:

A. Love and obey God, and enjoy his blessings of protection and prosperity in the land.
B. Neglect God, imitate the other nations in the area, and be expelled from the land.

The book of Deuteronomy falls into four large sections, each of which focus on the choice that the people of Israel need to make.

Or at least why it is important and what it is suppose to be used for according to the Bible. I heard that you can read the entire Bible in 70 hours. I am currently trying to do that, since I have never read the entire Bible— just here and there. I’ve been able to get through the first three books of the KJV when I felt bogged down because of these overview videos. Thank you for doing this important work. I have a new perspective of God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit and it is giving me peace in very troubled times.
