Architecture All Access is a master class technology series, featuring Senior Intel Technical Leaders taking an educational approach in explaining the historical impact and future innovations in their technical domains.

For Season 4, we are diversifying the coverage of Architecture All Access by focusing on three separate content tracks:
1) Architecture All Access: IP Insights, where we will provide architectural animations to explain our main IPs
2) Architecture All Access: Live Sessions, where we provide presentations from our Lunar Lake Intel Technology Tour
2) Architecture All Access: Master classes. This is our usual educational content that helps connect architectures with the usage models they benefit in an easy to understand manner.

This episode will introduce the Xe2 architecture – the new GPU IP evolution - for both built-in and future discrete GPUs. The episode will also show the implementation of the Xe2 architecture in the new Intel Core Ultra processor codenamed Lunar Lake for graphics, display, and media.

Missed seasons 1,2,3? Over the past 3 seasons, we have covered topics like CPU and FPGA architectures, Quantum and Neuromorphic computing, Transistor technology, Artificial Intelligence, Meteor Lake architecture and much more. Check them out here:

One of the few old school engineers still at Intel I have a lot of respect for.

I'm glad Intel is still working on GPUs. I'm looking forward on the performance of Xe2 on Lunar Lake on a device like the MSI Claw 8. I love the focus on efficiency which is critical for handhelds.

33:28 if those power consumption numbers are real, this design is a winner !

Lunar Lake & Xe2 vs Zen 5 & XDNA 2 in the thin and light laptop space is going to be much more interesting and nuanced than probably anyone thought. 😏

The reason for 72hrtz and 144hrtz pannels exsisting makes so much more sense to me now. Thanks Mr. P

Intel graphics come back and more powerful, highest performance than ever. I prefer buy intel but must have overclock

Bit of a shame Arrow Lake won't get Xe2 to have a more APU like build but I keep a dGPU on deck anyways and ready for the Battlemage era. excited to see how everything turns out in the coming months, good luck on a steady launch of both

We need lower GPU prices and hopefully with better competition we'll get there.

Not an expert on this at all but it appears that Battlemage could be much more performant than what many have speculated.

Hearing Tom mention DX9 makes me cautiously hpeful about Battlemage. While I was wildly impressed with Alchemist performance in newer games, lack of compatibility with old games was a complete dealbreaker for me. If they can fix that, I'll be happy to turn my next PC setup full blue.

When the rumors/leaks happened which put intel's BM VRAM at 12gb I was despondent. As someone who really likes PCVR stuff I was desperately hoping Intel would provide an alterative to Nivida's stranglehold on only providing large amounts of VRAM on disgustingly expensive top end cards. After watching this (granted I only understand a maybe 40%) I get the impression Intel intends to do a whole lot more with a whole lot less, efficiency pushed as far as it can go. This renews my hope to wait.
