This song should be played a little more on the radio, it's a classic.

“My heart is drenched in wine”

There’s so much amazing poetry in these lyrics start to finish

This takes me back to when I was a kindergartner in Ms. Arnett’s class @ Oglethorpe Ave. Elementary school. My teacher would always play this during our nap time.😊 Ms. Arnett, if you see this, I’ll always remember you because of this song.

This was my alarm back in the mid 2000s. It was so nice to wake up to such a silky smooth voice.

Lyrics:
I waited 'til I saw the sun
I don't know why I didn't come
I left you by the house of fun
Don't know why I didn't come
Don't know why I didn't come
When I saw the break of day
I wished that I could fly away
Instead of kneeling in the sand
Catching tear-drops in my hand
My heart is drenched in wine
But you'll be on my mind forever
Out across the endless sea
I would die in ecstasy
But I'll be a bag of bones
Driving down the road alone
My heart is drenched in wine
But you'll be on my mind forever
Something has to make you run
I don't know why I didn't come
I feel as empty as a drum
I don't know why I didn't come
Don't know why I didn't come
I don't know why I didn't come

This is still one of the most beautiful songs, but it may be the only one that also reaches "this far" into the butterflies part of the stomach...I mean, every time.

Man her voice always takes me out of my speedy state and into a calm relax one. Lifes too short to be doing things too quickly without resting or enjoying a moment of relaxation

This song was played everywhere. So stylish and the melody was matched with the nights during weekend in autumn and winter when I was listening in one of the biggest big cities.

My fourth grade teacher used to play this song while we were reading by ourselves, and I remembered little bits of it. I had to take a trip back in time and listen to it again.

What a voice, what a talent! Nora Jones is inimitable! Her voice and stylings captivate me each time I hear her sing. When I hear her sing "Come away with me" I'm certain that she could lead me anywhere, and I would follow. Her voice is just that magical.

bought this record a few days ago. 20 years after it released but it felt just as fresh as every other record out there.

Before my dad passed away this was one of my favorite songs. After he had passed- this song would come on the radio and I personally felt like it was my dads way of trying to connect with me after passing away. I can't listen to this song without crying and thinking of him. Love you dad

This song takes me back to when I was in 2nd grade. My teacher had this playing every morning when we would come in the class room. Good times ❤
