One thing this video doesn't mention: it's not just presidents who can be impeached. Impeachment can be applied to "the President, Vice President, and all civil Officers of the United States." Over history, 19 federal officials have been impeached, including two presidents. Six of the 19 impeachments have happened over the past thirty-five years.

Someone once said that the standard you walk past is the standard you accept. There's the issue for the impeachers. Either they have principles or not? If they do not impeach Trump then they are effectively agreeing with his behavior. The problem for the gop is that, if they do not impeach then they cannot complain when a future Democrat president misbehaves. The only course of action is to impeach and let the chips fall where they may.
