Mumbai Police Likely To Summon Nupur Sharma Over Comments Against Prophet Muhammad

The Mumbai Police is likely to send a summons to suspended BJP leader and spokesperson Nupur Sharma for her alleged remarks on the Prophet Mohammad, sources told India Today TV.

The Pydhonie police in south Mumbai had earlier registered a case against Sharma based on a complaint filed by the joint secretary of Raza Academy's Mumbai wing, Irfan Shaikh.

Shaikh, in his complaint, claimed that he received a message with a Twitter link which opened to a video clip of the televised debate where Sharma made some objectionable remarks against the Prophet Muhammad and his wife Ayesha, “who are worshipped by the Muslims”.
