DNSSEC strengthens authentication in DNS using digital signatures based on public key cryptography. With DNSSEC, it's not DNS queries and responses themselves that are cryptographically signed, but rather DNS data itself is signed by the owner of the data.

It's really awesome ! I worked with a HSM appliance of a bank. Very tedious to work with it because we can only connect to it via a serial cable and type command lines. The issue is because we don't use it very often, so we don't remember how to type commands !!!
