They're being so decietful on so many different levels. The low spec 4080 is meant to decieve people since they don't post cuda cores on the box. I was gonna build my new PC around a 4080, but FUCK NIVIDIA, I'm going with RDNA 3.

Remember NVIDIA is also blocking open-source driver development in Linux with digital signatures, required for the firmware inside the drivers. And only NVIDIA holds the signing key, so they can implement software locks like DLSS3 only for RTX 4000, or to make sure "compute-only" cards will not work for gaming.

If I learned anything during the pandemic, is that I can wait.
While most ppl think that they are 'big shots' for emptying their wallets, I prefer to view myself as a smart buyer. And I'll only see myself as a fool If I pay that much for such a product, so *no* thanks. Idc if I miss this generation or the next one (AAA games are also rising in price anyway), so everyone else can have all these overpriced cards for all I care, I'll stick to my 2070 for as long as I can.

Wow! Base on reading lots of comments these days, it seems like lots of people are switching to Team Red after learning the latest controversies involving Nvidia. I think RDNA 3 is totally worth the wait for most. I have the Sapphire Pulse RX 6800 XT in my build and it's a beast for 1440p gaming.

As you mentioned, 2x-4x performance might be any category of performance? It could be RT performance, tensor cores performance or whatever else. NVIDIA doesn't really have a good track record of being honest in these announcements lol I'm quite sure it isn't raster performance because even if they could squeeze that kind of performance, they wouldn't because that would be a multi generational leap and where is the money in that?

To be fair to star citizen, if you take what they've done with 500 million, and what microsoft did with 500 million for halo infinite, Star Citizen has put SCORES more of content and work into their engine and world.
