Marikina has evacuation warnings and alerts whenever the water level rises. From what i know Marikina has coop programs to help people who are actually contributing to their communities... working and paying taxes. Even informal workers have their own groups that help each other out in times of need! Plus dont these people know that the place is cheap bec of the risk of living close to the river? Marikenyos are not stubborn and proud. They work not beg.

Ever since naman kasi talagang lumulubog ang Marikina kapag may mga ganitong malalang ulan eh... sadly yan talaga risk ng pagtira sa flood prone area. Ang choice lang ay lumipat or ung bahay niyo multiple floors to minimize loses and damages.
