Golden Threads

Fox and Emi are happiest together, at home under their ginkgo tree, up on the mountainside. But when a fierce storm sweeps the stuffed toy far downstream, it looks like home is lost forever. Ripped and tattered, Fox wonders how to find a way back to Emi. And even if it were possible - who could love such a torn-up toy? Eventually, the kindness of strangers weaves its way into Fox's journey. Another child, Kiko, takes up golden thread to mend the stuffed toy's wounds. And perhaps - stitch by stitch and day by day - their growing friendship can also mend Fox's heart. In the tradition of childhood classics like The Velveteen Rabbit and inspired by the Japanese art of kintsugi, Golden Threads celebrates how our imperfections make us who we are.
