ITC#27 - YM2017 Full Album - Sega Genesis - Catskull Electronics

Here is the full 9 track music album of the YM2017 Composition chiptune cartridge. All music is recorded directly from my HDG Model 1 va2 Genesis and originally recorded at 96khz/24bit audio quality. This is an excellent example of what you can do with FM and some quality PCM samples. This Genesis is modded with an additional YM3438 working in tandem with the stock YM2612 as featured in my other Sega Genesis music compilation videos.

While listening to these, I try to imagine different types of gameplays that woud fit each tune; RPGs, platformers or adventure games, you know... is that weird? Anyway, this album/compilation is really cool, huge thanks to the composers! Long live the Mega Drive!

I know this sounds dumb, since the purpose of this album is to be played ON a Sega Genesis, but is there a place where I can find it in a .flac, .mp3 or even in .vgm format ? I love the tunes and I do play them on my Sega Mega Drive via an EverDrive Cart from time to time, but I'd like to have them in a convenient and "portable" format, and in neat quality.

Why did you mod your sound chip? This album wasn't make with the mod in mind, AFAIK. Still sounds nice, though.
