My dad bought one new when he was in high school. He parted with it about ten years later then found it for sale and bought it in about 2011 with the original front tire still on it.

But my brand new in 1971. Faster than anything on the road except for just a few bikes, including the Kawasaki Mach 3 500. I have to say I had a lot of problems with the plug fouling all the time so I kept a few spare sets with me at all times. Yamaha came out with that autolube innovation.

Beautiful condition. Just got back from riding my R5C. Repainted tangello metallic orange. My first street bike. Not first ridden just first owned. I love this bike. Had several offers but i wont sell!

Great little bikes. Buy an electronic ignition, keep the Yamalube tank from running dry and it's trouble free.
