Some context that’s left out from the anime for the duel with badigadi is that he didn’t ask to be hit by rudeus’ strongest spell but rather the one that damaged the north god. Not a big detail but gives slight clarification

Rudeus’s talent was never casting high level spells but altering low level spells making them much more powerful like how he maintained the rain on the cumulonimbus spell by creating the draft of cool air upwards automating the process

The simplicity of stacking attributes of low level spells is what makes Rudy shine. He tweaked the water Saint spell to run constantly without his need to do so manually for a long period of time. He is brutally efficient with the largest mana pool. Very strong combo

Also in the novel badi gadi was shocked to hear rudues encountered Orsted and damaged his hand, badi gadi asked rudeus to hit him with the same stuff he hit orsted that damaged him, so rudues did but this one is even more powerful than the one he used on orsted

if Rudeus incorporates his chantless magic with his swordsmanship, he'd be classified as a north god style user. Unfortunately, cause of his logic about magic, he doesn't learn battle aura.

Its crazy how incantationless spell casting isnt just about casting without an incantation, but it also allows the user to customize their spell to their needs. Like how creating figurines was only possible with incantationless spellcasting.

If I understand it correctly they turn magic (mana) into matter (stone) so couldn't he technically, with a better understanding of magic create metal? Would make that bullet technique even better.
