I'm a supporter of United Bengal. But I want Tripura, Bengali speaking areas of Assam to become a part of United Bengal. Bengal would have a GDP nominal of about $720 billion and GDP PPP of $1.2 trillion, which is considered high. Calcutta should remain the capital as it was the capital when Bengal was united. Bengal lost its glory since partition and Calcutta no longer economic hub since TMC and BJP come to power at state and central level respectively.

As a Bengali i don't support United Bengal! Because if it gets united in present time, than there would be many religious, economic & political tensions. If west Bengal unites with Bangladesh, still the majority will be muslim, and there will be discrimination, as the peaceful community doesn't supports peace! We are happy living in India as Bangladesh(east Bengal) was also once a part of India or we say "Bharatvarsh" So we don't need to separate! Although India is also 100 times more developed than Bangladesh, than why would we will separate?
