Not telling anyone how to parent, but I learned from the NICU nurses(my son was 10 weeks early). That in the early days its good for them to fall asleep for naps in regular light/noise because then when they don't fall asleep as easy as a newborn the baby can nap wherever you are and it was so true! My 7 year old can still sleep through almost anything, when he was a baby and even now I vaccuum, play music, talk on the phone..whatever and he sleeps through it and can sleep anywhere.

You don't need it !!! Baby can nap with light so they know it's day and not night 😉 risk of black out curtains is that baby won't sleep if there's a bit of light then....

If u have blackout curtains, he will need them to sleep when he gets older. My cousins are regretting their decision
