In recent history, the release of trains in Lego form has become somewhat rare, and oftentimes they are part of a subtheme of "City". It is perhaps even more rare that we get a train outside of the "City" theme, even if it isn't in the UCS style. While a part inventory for this set hasn't been made yet, it looks like there's a decent array of new elements in earth blue (sometimes called "Metru blue"), and a shade of gold which I can't think of the name of.

To me, the train looks so good. It reminds me of the train from Wallace and Gromit.

You can build it into the Polar Express.
You can put Tom Cruise on top for MI:7.
It’s the perfect train for a murder.

Me, my sister, my grandparents (my mom's parents), my uncle (my mom's brother) and my dad got this set for my mom for Christmas. Currently wrapped and under the tree. My parents had their honeymoon on the orient express. We had to split the payment because of the price. Absolutely absurd! Fingers crossed she likes it! Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas or Joyous Kwanzaa to everyone!

Mittlerweile gibt es auch gute Motorisierungsvorschläge von racing brick, stud city und brickstory. Am besten hat mir die Variante gefallen, in der der L-motor direkt in die Lok eingebaut wurde. Da hatte sie wirklich Power. Herr lego, warum macht ihr das nicht. Immer muss man alles modden. Speedbuilt. Sehr cool.

I’m glad I brought this set. Not only it looks good, but as a fellow lego train designer it’s given me some ideas (ha! Ideas ;) ) on how to overcome some design problems. Useless fact, not as iconic as this train, but in Australia there are a couple of overnight, hotel trains called ‘the Indian pacific’ and ‘the ghan’. Happy holidays AustrianBrickFan

Изначальная версия набора, которую прислал автор в компанию Lego, была лучше чем эта. Ещё на него нельзя поставить моторы чтобы он сам ездил. Да и стоит дорого из-за лицензии Восточного экспресса. В общем в этом наборе смысла не вижу.

If you are smart, you get the Mould King 12025 Orient Express. The better set with full motorization for the lower price. And it looks much more than the original Ideas submission.

Thanks for the video. I'm not getting this set for a few reasons. First, it is not to the same scale as other Lego trains. Second, it is not motorised. Third, it used so many parts on a useless display base that I wouldn't use. Finally, it is ridiculously expensive in Australia.

Poderia ser um conjunto excelente, mas ficou-se pelo normal....um "tender" com 3 rodados??? Ninca vi tal coisa nos caminhos de ferro....a locomotiva ficou muito aquém da beleza das carruagens....parece-me que está um pouco reduzida na honestamente
