During this live training I'm going to explain solutions to the License Plate Challenge we ran a few weeks ago.

The challenge was based on a system implemented at Yellowstone National Park to limit the number of visitors to the park. It required string parsing techniques with formulas (or Power Query) to determine if a license plate could enter the park on an even or odd date.

We had a ton of great solutions posted on our blog and YouTube video. I'm going to go over some of the techniques and explain how they work. You will learn a lot about parsing and analyzing strings of text and numbers in Excel.

Excellent Job Jon! I learned so much. This was difficult being that it had so many different solutions and some features are an entire training video. I will use the files for future reference and for training as well.

I really need to learn more about dynamic arrays.

One thought that kept distracting me through the video is thinking about how people with odd license plates are lucky. There are 8 more odd days in a year plus an extra if it's a leap year. It's very easy to distract me.
