Lamley Showcase: Opening some 2019 Hot Wheels & Matchbox 9-packs

There are always gems to be found in Hot Wheels & Matchbox 9-packs. Here is a look at a few I found.

It's really crappy of Matchbox to put the same cars in 2 different 9 packs. The Viper in this case but they've done it in the past repeatedly. They have hundreds of models each year but feel the need to do repeats in these gift packs.

That corvette is the California Highway Patrol it has the same logo as the real life one

I love that both the Evo and Corvette are 90% based on real life police liveries (Evo is Indonesia police and Corvette is CHP). I think I remember reading somewhere that CHP used to actually have a Corvette police car. I'm not keen on the white R32. White is a signature colour on this car but somehow I prefer the blue one. Will have to see in person though. I came across that 240Z the other day but the 10 pack was too expensive so I couldn't buy. I'll have to find another way to acquire it as I really want it.

I got a Matchbox 5 pack Coffee Cruisers and it had the 61 Jaguar(LOVE THAT CAR) and the red Viper. Awesome 5 pack. That Gulf Nova may be "basic" but I have yet to see one on the pegs.

That mbx 9pack is sick, love the E-type, Cuda and Viper!! The white HW R32 looks good aswell, not as cool as the blue one though

Also. When you see the letters MK to describe a model, MK means "mark". So you have for instance a Ford Escort MK 1 or MK 2... It's just like saying series 1, 2, 3 or Type 1, 2, 3 or Evolution 1, 2, 3 etc...
