These boxes have silent alarms that trigger once they are opened and weight is put onto the bedding area, firemen, emt's, etc...are automatically alerted and in route. These boxes keep scared young mothers from dumping their newborns off at a garbage can, bathroom, etc...and in turn is saving the lives of these innocent babies. I dont understand what is the big deal...UNLESS these boxes are not inspected constantly and fear of the auto trigger not going off and the mother forgets to push the alarm too.

The baby is not left alone! Grow a brain child services! An alarm alerts fire fighters immediately and the baby is removed within 60 seconds and then transported to the hospital. If you truly care about children then stop taking kids out of non abusive biological homes and placing them in abusive foster homes for cash! Kids for cash organized crime! I know from experience!!!

Without the baby box they just get left in garbage bins and by the side of streets. This is much better. Saying it’s illegal because it’s abandoning baby’s doesn’t make sense. They get abandoned anyway. Is the fact we don’t see babies being abandoned without these make it better.

i just seen on tv they had a baby box filled with kittens. so they changed the name to a cat box
