It didn't fail, but just had to mature. Now they're going for double MSRP. When it came out in 2011, that was the prime time for all of the newest technologies being implemented in the supercars, the first and second generation of the normal features today. So the LFA was unappealing relative to a new dual clutch transmission or whatever. Now, everybody loves the mechanical feel and 'clunk' of the shifts. Also. The harder you drive, the better the transmission shifts. The difference between that and a dual clutch is fractions of a second. The LFA is the pinnacle of internal combustion and natural aspiration connected to modern technology and safety features. The McLaren F1 is it's analog equivalent. This car is amazing. Stats don't matter whether it's 3.2 0-60 or 2.8. you won't notice the difference. Total package, the LFA is the best road car probably ever. Not my favorite, but mad respect. Perfect.
