Mr. Kasich, I imagine there are plenty of people in congress who are decent respectable human beings, but when it comes to playing the craft, games, and art of political power... I don't think a lot has to do about the goodness of their hearts. They had years to get this done... but yet they waited for it to start nearing ever closer to elections...

It is called political opportunism. Maybe they sincerely believe it the right thing to do and they really do want it done... but lets be honest it wasn't high on their priority list and the reason it is now is the upcoming election.

I thought Kasich stopped existing when he lost the primary? I thought that what the Republican primary was about. Kasich fighting for his right to exist? No?

This guy all he thinks about is power. Two years before the election he said he was running at a young republicans meeting yet he came into the race so late he had little chance. What a putz.

Ok let's play devils advocate here. You talk about the duty that a senator has and how they're supposed to represent the people and how they shouldn't need permission from the president to do anything and yet the lobbyists have a great deal of control over what the Senators do, contrary to that principle. So, in essence you are scolding them for that but where are the harsh words for the other? are you really blasting them for getting permission from the president or are you blasting them because they are taking his word over the word of the lobbyist?
