China lifts Imports suspension from 99 indian sea food units | Indian shrimp exports to china

Mpeda officials disclosed that the Chinese government has lifted the ban on 99 sea food processing and export units of India from the 14th of this month.

It is known that the Chinese government has banned 110 export companies from India since the time of 2020 covid. This has reduced aqua exports from India to China and increased exports from countries like Ecuador.

mpeda officials estimate that exports to China may increase by 5 to 10% due to the lifting of the ban on Indian companies.

Empeda chairman DV Swamy said that the lifting of the ban was possible due to the coordinated efforts of Empeda, Export Inspection, Beijing Embassy and Commerce Report officials.
