I can't remember the story but it was from the Americas & passed down regarding a terrible God who reeked vengance upon humans & every so many years or centuries came into the earth realm.

The odd thing was his hard to pronounce name was rendered down to Mick the Cutler!
Which my uncle said was how his real name was pronounced but
It was an Aztec name & long to write down.

There were stories in maritime history regarding this
Mick the Cutler.
I always remembered my uncles story when decades later i read about the ancient cultures of South America.

They are still around, called sea lilies.

The largest crinoid column fossil found is around 145 feet long.

Some of them are dated back about 350 million years old.
