For this to work you have to make sure you save the Sketchup file as Sketchup version 2016, other save formats will not work

I tried this, and nothing imported. I have the SKP file in my folders and tried to import and I don't see anything new in the file. The file I was trying to import was "Serenity - Firefly-class Mid-bulk Transport (V 1.1)" over at 3D warehouse.

I have blender 2.78 and sketchup pro 2016.. how do i find for 32bit windows cause the link doesnt work since its 64bit 😥

You can also export the model from sketchup as 3ds then import it on blender

I'm currently working with Blender 2.79..
In spite of installing the addon, nothings seems to work..
When I'm importing the skp file nothing seems to happening..
I remain with an empty scene..

This looks really cool, but I've just installed it and tried to open an SKP file, and for some reason the model doesn't show - not even in the outliner, so it's not just that it's tiny, or something.
Are there some prerequisites the model needs that I'm missing, like it needs textures pre-attached, or something..?
