Skywalker 1830 crash and repair

Lovely calm day for flying the Skywalker 1830. It's a great motor glider capable of carrying lots of gear and batteries. Flying at a new site with nasty big light poles and angry magpies.

Good one Andrew, that's took the shine off it. You'll enjoy flying it more now you're not worried about scratching it. Nothing more scary than a brand new plane - now you can really beat up on it and not care too much. I've got to maiden my new FunCub on Saturday - dreading it

POLE-larity
Definition: The relative orientation of poles that creates a magnetic field to which an Andrew is drawn into.

The Skywalker... looks kinda weird... bulbous fuselage, long skinny tail boom... then you see it fly and all of that just dissappears.
It has a majestic look as it soars. I love this plane.

It hurt when I saw it wrap around the pole. And then the close up of the true carnage... I felt sympathy for you for sure (ie. really glad it wasn't mine ;-) THEN... your repair! Wow. Truley gald to see it go back up.

Spectacular crash Andrew. looks like a really neat repair too. I have to say I did not think it would have gone back together that well looking at all the carnage strewn across ground. Great stuff!

This damn unleashed poles ! :o)))
Last time one of them jumped into my path it hits the lipo and sets it on fire. Spectacular!
Like the idea of individual named poles... *lol*

You should demand that the local council put leafy branches on those poles!! With fluorescent green leaves!

I'm told that most councils use foam magnets at the top of their light poles to detract people with RC foamies from flying near them! haha!
