Oskana is living breathing proof that you’re never too old to be amazing

I completely agree that we need more warmup time... I'm always so stressed about finishing my skills in the minute and a half I get for warm up so it is all rushed and I'm so scared to hurt myself!!!

Ragan's make me feel bad, when you almost had a chance to shine in an international level, but suddenly an injury kills the dream. 😢

I was there for Rebecca Bross's injury. I could hear her cry out from across the stadium

The one I'm most sad about is undoubtedly Elena Mukhina who ended up in a wheelchair because her coaches pushed her to compete with a broken leg. They had her cast removed prematurely against doctors' advice. It is the most tragic story in female gymnastics. I don't fault any gymnast for dropping out of competition if they feel their life or wellbeing is in danger.

The fact 3 of these happened at the same competition shows you that something is not right

If Oksana gives you an advice, TAKE IT, she has more experience than everybody else

Man, I forgot how much of a dumpster fire 2017 Worlds actually was. If I recall, the extremely bright lighting in the arena caused issues for some of the gymnasts. Not only did we have a lot of injuries, but a lot of uncharacteristic falls. The one positive was that Morgan had a chance to shine in a rough situation.

I'm saddest about Aliya Mustafina. Without her injury she could've and should've been world 2011 champ and 2012 all around gold at london. What a queen

Hats off to gymnast *Oksana Chusuvitina* who has competed in every Olympics since 1992, and will be retiring this year at the age of 45. What an amazing athlete! 👍🤸🏻‍♀️
I just wish she could have said her goodbyes in a packed arena where, undoubtedly, she would have gotten a standing ovation. Just one more thing covid stole from people.
👏👏👏👏Brava, Oksana, BRAVA!👏👏👏👏

Whip to full-in is such a cool pass! Shame Vanessa got injured on it.

Man 2017 Worlds was rough for everyone. It breaks my heart, especially knowing what it is like to get injured before a meet 😢

Ragan, Loved her since she was Level 10, and has so much charisma and drive. She'll forever be a three time USA Champion ( AA, BB & FX 2017) and Olympic alternate, and never forget her accomplishments as a Jr which included Jr US Champion on BB & FX in 2015.

I'm most sad about that first gymnast. She had to deal with Nassar.

i wish larisa would just come back. she had such a strong 2017 leading up to worlds. she was really a star in the sport, and such a bright spot for the gymnastics world.

Larisa and Ragan... 2017 makes me want to cry

Larisa never gets the recognition she deserves for her talent and hard work. Seriously how I wish Worlds 2017 never happens.

i was so sad for ragan. she could’ve had so much success winning all around and possibly floor. but i do feel that college was the best choice for her.

As a professional gymnastics coach for 15 years injuries are the hardest thing to deal with - most occur during training. I only had one during comp which was one of my girls dislocating her elbow on a failed bars landing... it tore my heart out. i was calm and stoic for her as she was taken off in an ambulance (with her mother) reassuring her everything was fine. The second they drove off i burst into tears... as a then 34 year old man... i went home to my girlfriend and cried for probably 3hours, blaming myself the whole time. The good news is of course she recovered, becoming an assistant coach to me for 5years... and almost 10 years later she and her parents are still close friends... every journey has its hiccups, but we learn from every one... Gymnastics is the hardest most dedicated and sometimes dangerous sport... But is beautiful and inspiring... and i believe every gymnast learns courage and pride... as do the coaches. I love and respect every single gymnast i have coached or watched as a fan... and thank them for teaching me the strength of character i will carry with me for the rest of my life.
