The Bible also mentions The book of Jasher, the book of Gad the Seer and The book of Nathan. If the Bible mentions the book, you can best believe it's relevant. These books are written about in the 66 books. The Bible says in Revelation cursed is the man who adds or takes away from this book of prophecy. They should not have taken anything out. Period.

I was raised in a Southern Baptist church and I have a Father that is an ordained Minister. I have always had questions and just got the standard answers. I have a new question who made who in charge to decide what does and does not go into the Bible? Why is it so hard that translations have changed through time? What was being hidden from everyone in those missing books?

The New Testament actually DOES refer to the first book of Enoch in Jude. Verses 14-15 refers to 1 Enoch 1:19. In verse 14 Jude specifically refers to Enoch as the 7th from Adam, identifying him as THE Enoch who walked with God and was taken away by Him.

My Dad likes these banned/lost books of the Bible. Whenever we talk about these books, he always says that MAN chose to remove these books.

There are also many missing gospels, and if one reads them, they will know why the "church" kept them out....power

Since we have learned that many books were deleted, we must question how many were added.

Ethiopia is one of the first countries mentioned in the Bible and has the oldest complete Bible in the world which contains all the books of the Bible unlike the English Bible. Europeans when printing the Bible in English decided to remove certain books out of the Bible, Although the Bible clearly states to add nothing to it and take nothing from it.According to the Bible Ethiopia is also one of the locations where the twelve tribes of Israel are scattered.Ethiopia also has the Ark of The covenant.

Left out the Book of Jubilees where an angel
gives Moses more information about what happened
to Adam and Eve's family.

Jude himself quotes directly from Enoch. Just FYI. Of all these books you mentioned, Enoch was considered the MOST scriptural.

If these are rejected books, it makes me wonder why they can't print it as a separate book. It will not make me less of a Christian to read it, trust me.

Jesus knocking on door: "Hey will you let me in?"
Man: why?
Jesus: so i can save you!
Man: From what?
Jesus: From what happens if you dont let me in!

Many of these "books" were the writings of common stories for the common people, whom all knew their stories. They were widely held until stamped with the label of "heretical"... They did not survive the leaders of the church at that late time, although many just as old if not older than later scripts.

2 Timothy 3:16-17
[16]All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
[17]That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

This makes no sense at all.. can no one seriously comprehend something so basic and simple?? How can you say that the books written hundreds of years before the main one are all fake or fan, yet the single one and ones after are some how legit?? That's ridiculously illogical and completely false. Quite obvious..

The History Channel should know better. The Bible was canonized in the late 4th century, no one rejected 1 and 2 Maccabees until 1517
