When I retire this year, I will have accumulated nearly 40, 000 hrs operating D8’s, 9’s, 10’s and the beast D11R, my all time favorite is our new D9, I’ve operated dozers in some of the steepest ground, on mountain sides, rebuilding washouts, punching roads for logging, mining claims, reclamation projects, pushing wood chips, will miss the seat time, my body won’t though.

Once you've ran 10s and 11s, the rest of em just feel like toys.

The D 3 and 4 is my favorite but that D7 isn't no joke.
All of them are good dozers you get the right operator in there nothing is impossible

I love them all. This Cat Vid is close to what I'd like to see: all parked side by side D's-1 through D-11😊

I’ve had the pleasure of being able to operate and work on brand new and used dozers between D1 and D8, minus the D7. When I first sat in a D8, I couldn’t believe how high up I was from the ground. Driving something that big gives you some sort of power and confidence like you’re just unstoppable and can do anything. I cannot possibly imagine how the bigger one must be, especially the D11.

I always understood that the D7 is the perfect weight easy to haul and more than enough power to handle any job

I can proudly say I've had the pleasure of the experience to help create such a machine. This makes my heart full. #catfamily #wearecat #catusa

I took an equipment and timber harvesting course in college and had the opportunity to go see Cat D8T dozers run a Savannah 1010 V-blade and a Savannah 430 bedding plow. Those machines are very impressive. They rip through 10+ inch stumps and 3 feet of soil like they’re butter.

Our new D9, Caterpillar no longer use letter prefixes, we’re having a lot of emission system codes popping up, and Regen system fault codes, with only 3k hours, our other cat D9T rarely coded, even after 21, 000 hrs., our Cats are custom designed for our needs, 228 sq ft Dymax blade, pads with 7” grawsers, days of operating are winding down due to retiring in a few months

My step father has 2 working D11’s and I remember the day we picked them up 😂 we hauled with the tracks on and took the cab and blade and arms off hauled them separately the good old days and those tractors are so impressive moving mountains literally ❤✊

Ah yes, bulldozers. A popular option in modern day American machinery. Also used widely elsewhere in the world before WW2.
