I love the transparency of this show! This needs to be discussed for us women over 50. Almost 10 years ago, my late husband died of colon cancer. My son was 10 at the time. I focused on navigating my career to spend time with my very young, only child. I just entered into the dating world ....and it's a new ball game! Thank you, thank you, thank you! This is one of the reasons I Love the show Bridgeton. The young women were married off to old men or they weren't in love with and I believe the Duchess from what I remember that family were Marrying. for love.I don't know if anybody here has watched.Bridgeton.Gotta love it.I can't wait for them to come back. I wish I knew a lot of this years ago. I made so many mistakes and now I am trying to figure out how to pivot. For me the number one thing has been I didn't know who I was and a lack of boundaries. This really messes you up and you definitely end up settling for less than you could have.

When people dont have God they feel empty souls because of that they attach to wrong relationships. I am glad i found God in my life. I dont need any man in my life. I feel so much happy now. never felt any problem with my age either. 😅

Dominique…something you (probably others) is that your now husband, you’ve known/met a long time ago. For me, no such luck, fate.
Only being, that so much time, things have happened in both of your lives, that either after the negative, hasn’t made one or the other bitter. That? Makes for more smoother sailing, when you two dated, got engaged, married. You two were truly blessed and possibly destined to be together.

Great tips! Getting tested for STD'S is important at any age before getting intimate unless the two are virgins.. Also if someone talks negative about women in their past, leave them alone. If someone you dating ask for money 🏃! God bless all singles trying to figure dating out. I am 53 and five years ago, I let go of my Type and I feel so blessed. I open my heart to a friendship with a man totally opposite in every way. We were raised in different continents, different race, different religions, different family structure and this man I can honestly call my best friend. He excells on my so called Type that I use to be drawn too. Life is good the second half of a century. Live, love, laugh
