Lyons Falls Water Tower Demolition

An old water tower on the site of the former Lyons Falls Pulp and Paper mill property was demolished Monday morning as part of the ongoing redevelopment of the site by the Lewis County Development Corp. Since 2014, a majority of the massive old manufacturing building at the center of the site and several large outbuildings have been demolished or are now being torn down at a total cost of $3.8 million, and the intent is to secure an additional $1.6 million to remove the remaining deteriorating structures next year. The site will be called the Black Moose Commerce Park.
