Oh, nice! At first I thought you were going to show how to fold to wear. But that would be wrapping, not folding. :) This folding method showcases the beauty of the sari more than hanging, imo. But, as you said, not all saris can be practically folded. Then there are the cholis. Again, I'm sure the Kon Mari fold would show them in all their bright beauty, as well.

if you keep your sari like that, it will cause wanted creases at the wrong places and can even cause damage along the foldes for silk sarees.

I don’t think it’s the perfect way to fold a sari . It will lead to lot of creases and before wearing you will hve to iron it . It’s best hung or placed flat. Just an observation.

Hello. I see the comments on the consultant post are now off. I'm sorry if my comment caused offence. I was responding to the other commenters who were saying it was a pyramid scheme (it's clearly not), and talking about my perspective. The KonMari method really did change my life and I explored being a consultant for that reason. It turned out to be something I couldn't do, but not because of KonMari or the programme itself.

I don't think this is the best way to fold a saree creating so many folds, creating creases. Also, one must not put sarees in a box. The ages old method of preserving sarees - both cotton and pure silk is folding them with minimum creases and then sliding them into pure cotton muslin bags or into large folded cotton fabric so that the saree would breath. Not to forget inserting camphor potli inside the cotton bag or fold to avert germs. It's not always good to imitate the West or other countries for our ages old traditions.
