This is marvelous! I came to Christ when I was 8 and was baptized at 9 and I knew what I was doing. I grew up on these hymns and now at 70, I’m so disappointed in church music. I have left a few just because of the drums and guitars. If it was a mixture, that might be OK, but I never seem to see that.
I’m sure I’ll get hell from some people for what I said. I don’t care. Answer me this: why do we always seem to need to bring God down to our pitiful level instead of us aspiring to rise to His, even in music?
Yes, I am an opinionated old man, but that’s just too bad. Thanks for your time.

Thank you for publishing this. Sad and lonesome days self isolating during COVID19 but singing hymns as I walk my dogs in the hills. My lovely next door neighbour died two days ago from the virus, only 63, and didn't know Jesus. I can only hold on to Him who leadeth me. X
