It's become a lifetime career instead of public service. Especially with the 24/7 exposure that we have these days.

I would think that for many of the Ukrainian refugees, this war has been a real opportunity for them to leave a corrupt country with very few decent job prospects. As a non-EU member, many of these refugees who are now in the West, would not otherwise have been able to move there.
