In all fairness to Abraham-Hicks teachings, they do say the only reason people want anything, is that they think it will make them happy, but you have to be happy first. to get happy things. The end result is that finding inner happiness, is the only true happiness.

Abraham Hicks helped me manifest peace of mind so i could quit drinking when i was drowning in alcoholism a few years ago. One day i heard her say, that you may come to realize that you only begin to want what your inner being is guiding you towards, and she wasn’t talking about houses or boats. She knows what she is doing, i think she knows what level she is capable of reaching people on and she knows theres more but she chooses to reach people where she does, in order to open a doorway. She does randomly drop hints of more. Its the ego or the person that chooses which way to hear the message.

This video really reminds me of my experience with Hicks' teachings and LOA. lol
When I first found out about it I was thrilled. The thought of getting everything I've always dreamt about, that I can get anything I wanted, that I am "in control" of everything that is happening to me... it gave me a huge sense of empowerment.
So I started watching LOA videos and stories all day, the only things that were in my head were 'being in aligment" and receiving my materialistic desires. Unconsciously I had proclaimed and mistaken my Ego for God. And this went on for a while, until... something quite disrupting happened. This very strange headache hit me and it continued for almost 2 weeks... and I am a person who never experiences headaches. I didn't know why I was experiencing it, I started getting concerned and anxious, maybe it was something serious and dangerous?
In the end, I had realized how silly I was for giving all of my energy and focus, to such insignificant and trivial things. They just weren't in my mind anymore, I realized how precious things such as health are. All I wanted was for the awful headaches to stop and to feel at peace again. I was desperate. And what does desperateness make us do? It makes us get in touch with the Divine again, and that's exactly what I did, I said: "God, I leave everything to you now. Even if it may lead to something like death, I'm not afraid, neither do I mind, I know that everything you do for me is for the greater good. I love you, I trust you and I leave everything to you". I had finally surrendered.
The next day, the headache was finally gone! I was so grateful to God, I was so happy.
After this experience I never attached to anything so obsessively again, especially to vile and materialistic things. Insead, I just wanted to grow spiritually, and to work on myself.
After a while, I stumbled upon Aaron's channel and through the enlightenment of it, he really helped me overcome the obstacles of the Ego, to grow spiritually and to remember Truths I had long-forgotten. 💗
LOA really did help me to open my mind and heart to new concepts and ideas, but I started going in the direction of materialism, instead of striving to expand my consciousness. Maybe my Higher-Self made me go through these rough 2 weeks to get me off the wrong track and to direct me to the one of Truth (Light and Love)... 💗

(Also, I guess that while teachings without much context such as Hick's "You are God", for example, can be empowering, they can be very misleading and make us think that the human self, and its distrorted perception by the Ego, is what God is. Which of course can lead to suffering.
Teachings such as "You are God and you are here on Earth to experience things, so go ahead and attract all of the materialistic things you want, that's basically why you're here" can be really damaging and decieving, by creating another false perception and image of what God is and what It really wants)

Another way I was thinking was: Cue/Pointer ---- vs Experience.
Since all experience happens from within, we are sorta looking for THAT which would EVOKE it out of us.

This is some great and most anticipated teaching! I was thinking about it a few days ago. In session 17.11 Ra explained that Jesus was a fourth density wanderer, so his teaching was that of unconditional love. Abraham might be a fifth density entity, so it's teachings are those of creativity and manifestation. Finally, Ra is sixth density, so it's teachings are those of unity and non duality. So there is really no incongruence and every lesson is good for our evolution, like you just said!

Aaron, thank you for your this. Yes. A thousand times, yes. Never have I heard the distinction between LOA and Surrender/Ultimate Reality explained so profoundly or so well.

This resonates with me so much. Having used the law of attraction from the age of 15 and seen it work for 13 years I’ve finally realized that there’s something bigger at play here and that it’s all about surrendering to to our higher being who has the bigger picture and can bring exactly what our souls need for our own evolution. Bashar was right when he said “ Act on your highest excitement for the best of your ability with zero insistence on the outcome, trusting that your higher mind will manifest what you truly need. And then, whatever manifests, know that that’s what serves you in the best possible way”.

"A fool who persists in his folly becomes wise." I love that quote. Alan Watts used to say it often. It provides an interesting contrast to the more common phrase, "insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results."

LOA does actually teach that you need to surrender to fulfil your desires. It’s ok to have desires but surrendering to who you truly are comes first. This is exactly what Abraham Hicks teaches. Once we surrender, our desires will be met. What changes as we move on from these teachings is that our desire for the material evolves into a desire for spiritual expansion as a human.
