People in general are very suspicious.
I do not think Plato wanted to become the leader of their land necessary.
BUT he wanted a philosopher to be the leader of the land - because he was a philosopher himself and strongly favoured any philosophers mind before the rest of the society´s minds.
Many people are in fact more interrested in their habitat and to keep on doing their thing - than to rule the world.
But many people, who themselves are powerminds, BELIEVE that others are the same as themseves - and therefor wants more power all the time. Not so in every case.
