This video is part of a 5 part series on the different types of RFID Antennas based on their utility. Each video has the same intro that introduces the 5 types - Panel, Portal, Shelf, Ground, and Desktop, and then each video segments off into information about one specific type.

RFID Ground Antennas are ideal for creating a threshold in order for tagged items or people tagged with RFID tags to run over, walk over, or be rolled over. RFID Ground Antennas are often seen in race timing or attendee tracking in order to capture a tag read for exactly when a marathon runner crosses a finish line, or when gathering data about the number of people that visited a booth at a trade show. In warehouses or laundering facilities, rolling tagged assets over a ground antenna enabled them to be tracked throughout a facility.
