I live in the country/rural Canada. Coyotes don’t scare me until it’s a pack in the middle of nowhere (like my property) by myself at night. In the day idc but when it’s pitch black by yourself and you’re surrounded it does get scary lmao. Them barking/howling doesn’t bother me as much now. Hearing them stepping around you/breaking sticks etc that’s sketchy lol.

This happened to me a few months ago. Me and my old German Shepard in the tent with me and my phones dead in the middle of nowhere and I hear this. I started my quad, took the dog, and floored it.

Half an hour I was camping in a homemade shelter. It was 4 in the morning and -1 C and coyotes were a mere 50 feet from my (open ended) shelter. I stoked up the fire and they still wouldn’t screw off. They just got more aggressive. I had to call someone to drive down next to my tent and let me bail out.
