I have family in Lima.
I lived there for 10 years and visit often.
It’s really not paradise at all.
It’s not tropical.
It’s often grey chilly and humid.
It’s often too hot and very humid.
Super high UV levels
Sun burns in minutes
Beaches are horrible
Palm trees are sparse and brown
Highly congested
Nightmare traffic
High pollution
Huge poverty levels
High crime
I love it because of the people I love and the food and music but it is NOTHING like anyones idea of S. American tropical paradise.
