It's not always about a lovely income to support your lifestyle and work alongside prominent names, however, I have to admit working alongside bright people is very enticing.
To start the video with a great company to work for in the engineering sector, I wanna specifically mention NVIDIA Corporation. The company works on things that don't yet exist using accelerated computing, artificial intelligence, deep learning, virtual reality, gaming, self-driving cars, full of supercomputing, and robotics, this is a highly recommended company for all geeks out there. If you are in Sales, Business Development, Engineering, IT, Marketing, or Admin- you can definitely enjoy working there.
Examples of some of the competitive perks include a comprehensive healthcare program, 100% of dental expenses, pet insurance, and benefits plans for interns and their family members. Financial perks also include powerful tax-advantaged personal spending accounts that help you cover educational or daycare expenses up to 5 thousand dollars each year. As an Nvidia employee, you also enjoy Unlimited vacation and sick days, 22 weeks of fully paid maternity leave plus 12 weeks for new dads.
And you can borrow up to 100K dollars at fixed rates if you need it for example for housing. On top of that, they help you repay your student loans up to 30K dollars.
According to Linkedin Data, NVIDIA employees work an average of 3.6 years in the company which is similar to Google employees' tenure. And this is by the way 140% longer than in Facebook/Meta.
The next company is in FinTech which is Intuit.
The company offers a long range of employee perks on top of good salaries and their total additional benefits package value is 34K dollars per year.
To add to the standard employee health insurance, your pet gets medical insurance if needed, Intuit also helps with (IVF) fertility issues, they offer an on-site car wash among the fun perks, you can spend 15% of your base salary to buy company's stocks with 15% discount which is offered twice a year. There will definitely be a vesting period like 2-3 yrs which I think is totally fair.
You can work remotely forever in Intuit if your manager approves this type of arrangement and you get a 125% to your 401k capped to 10k dollars annually.
Don't ever limit yourself to the IT or tech industry, because, the next company that consistently ranks high is bain and company.
So, BAIN and Company is a top management consulting firm that advises CEOs on many strategic things that a company may undergo, across all industries and geographies. If you want to get into consulting business, you'd better start preparing your job application because the spike in hiring comes in June.

if you opt-out from the retirement program - which I think is, a surprising way to retain employees, though if you count it in terms of the total value, I am sure it will be industry-standard as a whole. Simply because as an employer, Bain would establish an annual cap at which Bain and Co would stop contributing. I expect something around 6K dollars to 10K dollars per year that would go into your 401K.
However, there's one thing that can stop you from working in Bain and CO if you are not ready to travel substantially because business traveling is required even during the pandemic.
Other great consulting firms that you can consider also working in are the Boston Consulting Group and McKinsey which also predominantly hire during summer time from June to September.
What I loved about Orrick is that according to glassdoor reviews, they have the best maternal and paternal leaves in the country and comprehensive health insurance, longer vacation time something around 4 weeks, 3 weeks as a start, but what is still unusual for any employer of such a caliber is that this law firm mandates employees to unplug and take a week off of tech-free leave fully paid.
