Rest in power, Michael K Williams.

Opening title sequences have been a staple of the medium of television since the beginning. Many have catchy theme songs / anthems that have become as iconic (if not more iconic) than the show itself. However, I think there's one tv title sequence that truly goes above and beyond...

This show is so close to reality. It was actually filmed in the streets of the city. I lived in Baltimore during the height of the drug dealing beeper carry era that is portrayed on the series. The surveillance issues, crooked cops are all truth. The Franklin Terrace projects in the background are torn down now, but it's all very real. Thanks for giving B-more and the Wire props

Passion and pure love spills from the way you talk about important topics. You really do know how to look deep on something most people fast forward. 👏🏽❤️

Just came upon your channel because someone linked to your Awkwafina/Blaccent video in Facebook comments on a post about her. First off, that video was great, its insights heartfelt and nuanced, and you put words to the feeling I’ve had for a while: that Black culture being appropriated by white creators is unavoidable, that excluding people from cultures that are not theirs by birth/upbringing is futile and not necessarily practically or morally grounded, and that the ultimate line between awkwafina and Mac Miller is respect for the culture and the people who create it, and awareness of one’s place or lack thereof within it (wow that was a long sentence). I then saw you have only 4 videos so far and I got excited at getting to see a potentially great content creator before they hit it big. I’m a big fan of the Wire—there truly is no other show like it (though David Simon has tried and sometimes partially succeeded at replicating its brilliance)—so I of course clicked on this one next. And while it is perhaps a bit less substantive and a bit more gushing about the greatest show ever (which is hard not to do), I was still struck by getting some new insight into a show that I have thought about a lot. I’m really looking forward to watching your other two videos, and whatever else you have in store in the future. Please keep creating, although I know that you have to balance your time with real-world responsibilities. Consistently putting out content can be intimidating, and what another user commented—that more current/“relevant” content will likely get more hits—is true, but please don’t let the pressure of metrics compromise your commitment to nuance and your gift for thoughtful deconstruction. I truly look forward to what more you have in store, and I’m glad to be able to get in at the ground floor of what I’m sure will be a great channel.

Have you seen the show the corner ( west Baltimore)kinda similar to the wire The Corner focuses on the drug consumers. ... Like The Wire, The Corner is based upon the work of Baltimore-based journalists David Simon and Ed Burns. Definitely a cool show also
