Tim, your playing is always great but this video in particular shows your versatility and incredible feel as a musician. I LOVE this.

Let's appreciate how happily and enthusiastically Tim celebrates other musicians on his channel.

No matter how many times I watch Tim play I still can't get over how amazingly talented he is.

Being a modern day session guitarist is simple: you just need to be a stone cold genius like Tim

Never be afraid to bring a BOSS ME-50 to a show like that. That was a great lesson. 🤣

Just when I thought I couldn't possibly respect you more. What a great video Tim.

Good lord, what a band was sitting on that stage. Able to play, for all intents and purposes, *anything* on demand. Absolutely LOVED it.

I'd much rather see this than most of the stuff on TV. They should at least record it and put it up on YouTube or something.

Holy Moly! The amount of music this band is responsible for playing, energetically and flawlessly, would cause me to wilt, maybe three songs in. These guys sound like they've been playing this material for months. They really are the best.

Tim, Dean Parks, Leland Sklar, Vinnie Colaiuta, Luis Conte, Harry Kim and George Shelby (so effectively half of The Vine Street Horns), talk about a stellar line-up !
I can't begin to imagine the cumulated number of platinum records (and millions of records sold, and Top 10 hits) the backing band has to its name, possibly more than the whole audience itself...

Tim, Dean Parks, Lee and Vinnie. Holy crap. Best of the best. What a lot of work to pull all those charts and styles off in a one shot deal. Thanks so much for sharing the behind the scenes. Much rather watch that. Big talent, big hearts.❤️

He’s probably only played these songs a couple of times at most but his confidence is amazing. So effortlessly playing these songs perfectly.

It's unbelievable how casual he is. He's looking around, not looking at his guitar.

Performing at the Grammies is quite a top notch gig for the talented Tim Pierce! A true and prolific musician you are!

The most impressive part of a gig like this is the ability to stay “in the moment” while also being able to stay ready for cues from the MD. I’ve MD-ed a few gigs in my day, and I would have given anything to have a group of musicians that were as dialed in to my cues as this group. With even half the talent it would still make for a tight gig. That is the essence of professionalism IMO, when your first priority is playing for the ensemble, with yourself (and your ego) in the back seat.

This award show I'd actually watch. This is where the real musicians and the people who make it happen get their recognition. Thanks for showing us this!

When Toto came to Argentina, we were waiting the band outside the sound check, and Lee Sklar went out first. He was very humble, nice and happy to see us. We hug him, and took pictures. Great day!

Although I wanted to be a rock star when I was young, as we all do, as I matured I felt increasing relief that I didn't go down that road--and this video is a perfect example of why. What is required of you to even earn a dime in music is staggering. Whether it's the ability to instantly play any sheet that's dropped in front of you, or simply the ability to get along with people and socially network in the right way to get work, it's a life I'm glad I don't have to live. Meanwhile, in my home studio with my guitars and basses, I can play and write music to my heart's content, with no pressure at all. It is my passion and thankfully not what I depend upon to keep a roof over my head and food on the table. All of this is also my way of saying how much I respect musicians like Tim. He walks the walk.

Even as a drummer, your channel is incredibly important to me. Thank you Tim.
