I'm thrilled to share a recently completed project that combines my love for engineering, programming, and problem-solving. Using Python and Tkinter, I developed an interactive tool to visualize truss structures, showcasing their undeformed and deformed states under various loads and constraints.
Key features of the tool:
✅ Undeformed Structure Visualization: Displays the original geometry of the truss, complete with fixed and roller supports, connected elements, and labelled nodes.
✅ Deformation Analysis: Incorporates displacement data from finite element analysis (FEA) to visualize how the structure deforms under applied forces.
✅ Force Representation: Applied forces are represented as arrows with magnitudes and directions, making it easy to understand their impact on the structure.
✅ Scalable and Interactive Canvas: The visualization dynamically adjusts to fit any truss configuration, with manual controls for node size, deformation scaling, and element connectivity.
This tool simplifies the often abstract concepts of structural engineering by bringing them to life through visual representation. It's designed to help engineers and students alike better understand how trusses behave under real-world conditions.
